i used to enjoy improvising on flute in the beautiful echoey accoustics of the lift gallery and a friend suggested i put a flute track on the album... so one day, when kim had to pop out for a while, he left me alone in the studio with my flute... i recorded a few tracks that were absolute shockas and deleted them straight away... finally i got one that was ok, though not brilliant i thought so i kept it, but recorded another... same again... and again... when editing later kim had to delete me saying to myself "come on you can do this!!" as it had somehow slipped into the track... then finally i recorded one with a bit more energy in it (the main track on this recording) and then kim arrived back... we played the final recording... it was ok, but just not quite enough... then kim had the idea to play them all together... and magically it all worked, the rises and the falls, flowing in and out of each other perfectly... om namo narayani!
